The Israeli Cabinet Ratifies Agreement for Hostages' Release as US Forces to 'Supervise' Ceasefire
Israel's government has officially approved a detailed ceasefire agreement that includes the release of all remaining hostages held by the militant group in the Gaza Strip, marking a significant step toward ending the destructive two-year conflict.
American Military Participation in Overseeing the Truce
Senior authorities in Washington have announced that a American defense contingent of about 200 individuals will be sent to the area to "oversee" the truce after both Israel and the militant organization agreed to the primary phase of the former President Trump leadership's peace initiative.
His responsibility will be to monitor, observe, ensure there are no breaches.
Immediate Execution Schedule
Based on an Israel's spokesperson, the halt in fighting should begin right away following administration endorsement. The Israeli army was given 24 hours to withdraw its units to an pre-determined position. Following that, the captives held in the Gaza Strip would be released within 72 hours, a cabinet spokesperson declared.

The official continued: "However there is an immediate proposal for the US to head what is practically like a monitoring system to guarantee that this takes place on the location, to supervise the process with captive liberation, and also guaranteeing that this primary phase is executed, bringing the humanitarian assistance in location, but they have also made very unambiguous that they anticipate the troops on the ground to be provided by neighbouring countries, and that is something that we do anticipate to occur."
The foreign secretary said she hopes the halt in fighting will be executed "right away". Based on the top diplomat, there are worldwide talks on an "worldwide safety unit" and the United Kingdom was persisting to contribute in other ways, including considering securing commercial funding into Gaza.
