Amid indirect talks get underway in Egypt, Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip continue unabated, per Gaza’s Civil Defense.
Persistent Bombardment and Casualties
Spokesman Mahmoud Basal announced that 24 individuals lost their lives in the most recent 24 hours, with airstrikes not stopping.
Additionally, he mentioned, "Not a single aid convoy have been permitted entry to the city since the offensive began 28 days prior."
"Victims' bodies remain we cannot access from zones controlled by Israel," he said.
Local Testimonies of Overnight Strikes
Locals report that from 9:30 PM local on Sunday until early morning, Israeli artillery and air strikes hit multiple areas of the urban center.
- Artillery fire concentrated on the southern and western zones factory district, and university area, then came heavy fire in Tel al-Hawa.
- Subsequently, bombing runs hit al-Tuffah and the public security compound.
- In the pre-dawn period, warplanes attacked the district, the Beach Camp, and al-Jalaa, while mortar fire focused on the street near the roundabout and al-Shifa hospital.
Civilian Zones Impacted
Observers reported ordnance dropped over residential areas in that district and al-Jalaa Street.
Basal confirmed that Tel al-Hawa, the neighborhood, and al-Nasr Street were among the worst-hit districts overnight.
